The
thyroid is the energy gland of the human body and produces T3 and T4
thyroid hormones that control the body’s metabolism. The thyroid also
controls other vital functions such as digestion, circulation, immune
function, hormone balance, and emotions.
Graves’ disease is one of the most common of all thyroid problems. an autoimmune disease that results in an excess of thyroid hormone production. First described by Sir Robert Graves in the early 19th century,
Symptoms of hyperthyroidism may include:
• Weight Loss despite increase appetite
• Faster heart rate
• Higher blood pressure
• Restlessness
• Anxiety
• Insomnia
• Excessive perspiration
• Increased sensitivity to heat
• More frequent bowel movements
• Muscle weakness
• Trembling hands
